JoAnn Sonier, 65, a native of Bayou Blue and resident of Houma, passed away on October 30, 2024.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2024 from 9am to 11am, with the service to begin at 11am, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue. Burial will follow in St. Louis Cemetery.
She is survived by her mother, Betty Sonier; sisters, Roxanne Leonard (Thomas), Elizabeth Boquet (Patrick), and Patti Matherne (Tom); and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dewey Sonier; sister, Cheryl Sonier Bunnell; and brother in law, Dukin “Butch” Arceneaux Jr.
God created JoAnn with special needs. She enjoyed the presence of family, friends, and caregivers. She loved music and had Christmas spirit all year round. She also enjoyed building puzzles, playing with a ball and a deck of cards. JoAnn is forever loved and will be missed by many until we meet again in Heaven above.
