Calling all gamers for the first ever Rou-Ga-Con
October 8, 2024Joyce Mary Henry Billiot, 78, a native of Chauvin and resident of Houma, passed away on October 5, 2024.
Visitation will be held Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 9am to 11am, with the funeral service to begin at 11am, at Samart Funeral of Houma, Bayou Blue. Burial will follow in St. Elie Cemetery.
She is survived by her children, Torie Henry, Scotty Henry, Christina Deon, Vickie Billiot (Harold), Michael Plake, Joey Deon III, Naomi Vasquez (Giovanni), and Wilma Plake; caregiver, Tina Walker; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude J. Henry and Victoria Pinell Henry; siblings, Shirley Hebert, Edward Henry.
Joyce worked at Dupre’s Meat Market for many years and BLou’s in Montegut. She would spend her days watching her soap operas, fishing and cooking for her family, especially for Torie Henry who was her heart. Joyce was a very kind, loving, sweet lady who would do anything she could to help someone in need and would give you the shirt off her back. She was a parishioner of Little Caillou Baptist in Chauvin. She was loved deeply and will be forever missed.
