Joycelan Martin Hackler, 82, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of Houma, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2024.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Samart Funeral Home on Bayou Blue from 9:00 am until the memorial service at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Rogers Cemetery.
She is survived by her brothers, Forest Jr., John L., Glen L., and David Martin; and sisters, Rosemary Odom, Margaret Blanchard, and Linda Aycock.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Hackler; father, Forest Martin, Sr.; mother, Mayola Blanchard Martin; nephews, Andre’ Martin, Ronnie Blanchard, Jr., Corey Odom, and Draven Martin; and niece, Shonda Aycock.
At the time of her death, Joycelan was studying the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was a loving and caring person, and always loved everyone who she would meet and became friends with. Joycelan will be deeply missed, but her family has comfort in her faith.
