Judy A. Lawson, 79, a native and resident of Houma, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024.
She is survived by her sons, Max Lawson and Jonah Lawson; daughters, Michele LeBouef and Chessley Jackson; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Terry Smith, John Smith, and Jimmy Smith; and sister, Betty Newton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Lawson; sons, Stacey Lawson and Christofer Lawson; parents, James O. Smith and Helen Smith; and brothers, Jerry Smith and Robert Smith.
Judy was a devout and loyal Jehovah’s Witness. She loved Jehovah very much and was baptized in 1955. She would take in as members of the family, people who were struggling spiritually, emotionally, or physically and help them to grow and serve Jehovah.
A public talk will be given at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Highway 311 at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 21, 2024.
