Luella LeBoeuf Guidry, a resident of Houma, passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at the age 92.
Luella was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all she met. She was well known as The Cake Lady for over 50 years. When she wasn’t baking, she could be found in her yard tending to her flower garden and feeding the birds. Luella was also an Avon representative for over 40 years, winning numerous awards and recognition. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Donald Guidry Jr. (Sharon), Bernadette Duhe’, Deanna Brunet (Michael), Wilfred Guidry (Wendy) and Charlotte Boudreaux (Michael); grandchildren, Donald Guidry III (Sian), Brandon Guidry (Andrea), Ryan Guidry (Kaylin), Ashley Guidry, Jenny Bonvillain, Maggie Smith (Dr. Smitty), Jessica Guidry, Ariel Guidry, Arissa Guidry, Melanie Brunet (Gilbert), Chrissy Wright and Ashley Boudreaux (C.J.); great-grandchildren, Austin Guidry (Taylor), Nathan Guidry, Jalen Barrios (Emily), Sydney Guidry, Kaylee Naquin (Shelby), Kyle Guidry, Eliza Guidry, Kolton Guidry, Marissa Bonvillain, Hudson Smith, Collin and Camrin Bergeron, Sway Brunet, Dakota Boudreaux, and Nathan and Gracie Autin; great-great grandchildren, Ellie Guidry, Iyla Barrios, Addison Hanley and Greyson Naquin; and sister-in-law, Rita LeBoeuf.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald J. Guidry Sr.; parents, James and Inez Bacon LeBoeuf; siblings, James LeBoeuf Jr., Eugene LeBoeuf, Roger LeBoeuf, Nina Allen Badeau, Constance Boudreaux, Imelda Acosta, Jeanne Doiron and Judith Musslewhite; son-in-law, Carroll Fanguy, and grandson-in-law, Troy Bonvillain.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Samart Funeral Home (4511 West Park Ave, Gray, LA 70359) from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM. A religious service will begin at 12:30 PM.
The family would like to thank Haydel Hospice, Christy Griffin, Teri Clark and Nancy Faucheaux NP for their loving care of their beautiful mother.
