Pierre Lionel Menge, 89, born March 23, 1935 a native of Chauvin, Louisiana and resident of Point-Aux-Chene, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024. He was a minister of God’s word and a lover for souls.
He is survived by his sons, Lionel “Tony” Menge and wife Donna, and Vincent Menge and wife Anna; daughters, Emelda Menge Williams and husband Irvin, and Thea Menge Ledet; brother, William “Bill” Menge; sister, Victoria “Vickie” Danos; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; thirteen step-great-grandchildren; and three step-great-great-grandchildren; and good friend, Thelma Blanchard.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Uralee Defelice Menge; daughter, Lisa Menge; parents, William Menge and Ophelia Thibodaux; brother, T-Paul Menge; step-brothers, Alcide Bourgeois, Brownell Bourgeois, Andrew Bourgeois, Thomas Bourgeois, Paul Bourgeois, Eddie Bourgeois, Leon Bourgeois, Justline Bourgeois; sisters, Laurencia “Lou” Bernard; and step-sisters, Josephine Bourgeois Gros, Leona Bourgeois Navarre, and Gertrude Bourgeois Baudoin.
A visitation will be held in his honor on Friday, December 27, 2024 at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, 635 Bayou Blue Rd., Houma, LA from 9:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM. The burial will follow in Rogers Cemetery, Houma, Louisiana.
