Richard Charles Schmidt, 81, a native and resident of Bayou Blue, passed away on October 14, 2024.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 18, 2024 from 11am to 1pm, with the funeral service to begin at 1pm, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Schmidt and Robert Schmidt; brothers, Toxie Schmidt Jr. and Timothy Schmidt; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Toxie Sr. and Levine Schmidt; and sister, Patricia Blanchard.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue is in charge of arrangements.
