As a member of the Krewe of Chronos for 48 years, Troy was proud to reign as King Chronos LII in 2006. Fishing in Grand Isle and spending time with his family and friends there were among the happiest times of his life, which he lived to the fullest.

Troy worked cleaning construction job sites each summer during his teenage years, became a project manager after college, and eventually became president of Thompson Construction Company, which was founded by his father in 1958. Enjoying his long, successful career in the business, Troy contributed to constructing many important commercial buildings in the area and, more importantly, established many long-lasting relationships over the years.

His family deeply appreciates his devoted sitters, the caring staff at The Suites at Sugar Mill Point and Haydel Hospice, Dr. Daniel Naul, and the many friends, neighbors, and family members who visited and helped care for Troy.
