April 16, 2008The strong-armed and just strong-minded filled the Post Office Club Saturday afternoon to compete for the title of “Baddest Arm on the Bayou.”
Sponsored by Body Elite Fitness Center and arm-wrestling team, Registered Coon Ass, the tournament was organized to showcase Louisiana arm wrestlers to a general public who may not view it as a sport.
About 70 men competed in seven weight classes. Most were amateurs hoping to compete against their favorite “pullers” and workout buddies. Professionals who have been armwrestling for many years dominated the competition.
