Boys

Ellender 107, Central Lafourche 71

The Patriots clinched at least a share of the District 6-5A championship with the win over Central Lafourche. For the Trojans, it was their third-consecutive loss, as they dropped to 6-4 in district play and a second-place tie in the league.

Ellender got balanced production, with Sterling Jones leading the way with 18 points. Five other players finished in double digits.

For the Trojans, Sam Wilke led the way with 17 points.

Thibodaux 78, H.L. Bourgeois 64

Thibodaux won its fourth of five games and moved into a second place tie with Central Lafourche via a 78-64 win over the Braves.

Leading for the way for the Tigers was a standout performance by Tristan Cheatham, who scored 33 points.

For the Braves, it was Jordan Steib scoring 21 points.

Assumption 68, South Terrebonne 48

The Gators continued to struggle this season, as they fell to 2-20 overall and 1-9 in District 6-5A. Assumption improved to 5-5 in district play.

The Mustangs led 30-16 at halftime, and never looked back, getting 23 points from Delwin Williams.

E.D. White 52, Franklin 50

It took a last second shot by Brett Ledet, but the Cardinals go revenge for their lone district loss by beating Franklin 52-50. E.D. White battled back from a 15-point deficit to clinch the victory.

Ledet capped the rally with an offensive rebound a layup for the win. Ledet led the way with 20 points on the night, while Ben Martin added 11.

Girls

Ellender 87, Central Lafourche 48

The Lady Patriots remained undefeated in district with a convincing win over the Lady Trojans. The game was never in doubt, with Ellender leading 73-31 at the start of the fourth quarter.

Asia Williams led the way for Ellender with 19 points, while three more played also scored in double digits.

Kelsey Eschette led he way for Central Lafourche with 14 points.

South Lafourche 58, Terrebonne 47

South Lafourche clinched at least a second-place finish in district with the 58-47 win over Terrebonne. Stephanie Reed led the way for the Lady Tarpons with 20 points on the evening. Meanwhile, Sierra Lyons chipped in 16 for the Lady Tigers

With South Lafourche leadings 17-16 in the second quarter, the Tarpons went on an 8-0 run to break the game open.

Thibodaux 59, H.L. Bourgeois 34

Thibodaux improved to 8-4 in district play behind 14 point games by Angelle Streams and Danielle Carter. The Tigers controlled the game from the start, holding 16-point lead at the end of the first quarter.

Ke’Arrah Jackson led the way for H.L. Bourgeois with 25 points.

South Terrebonne 70, Assumption 32

The Lady Gators dominated Assumption behind 20 points by Brittany Thompson. The win gave South Terrebonne just its third district win of the season.

The Lady Gators took control from the start, leading 35-11 at halftime.

Franklin 55, E.D. White 29

Franklin clinched the District 7-3A championship with a convincing win over the Lady Cardinals. A 26-7 halftime lead set the tone for the game, as the Lady Hornets never looked back.

Adrienne Johnson led the way for Franklin with 20 points.

For E.D. White, it was Ashley Adams’ 16 points that led the way.
