TGMC honors March Employee of the Month
March 22, 2018The Nicholls State University football team will finish up its spring practices with its annual spring game.
The game will take place Saturday at 10 a.m. at John L. Guidry Stadium. It’s free to the public.
In a news release issued by Nicholls, the school announced that the 2018 game will pit Nicholls’ offense against its defense in 12-minute quarters. A special scoring system will be used to determine the winner.
The players on the field will be most of the Colonels’ players in the 2018 season. Freshman signees will join the team this summer.
The scoring system for the spring game is below.
Offense:
Touchdown – 6 points
Field goal – 3 points
PAT – 1 point
2-point conversion – 2 points
20-yard play – 1 point
Drives with 3 first downs – 1 point
Defense
Interception/fumble – 6 points
Missed field goal – 3 points
Missed PAT – 1 point
Missed 2-point conversion – 2 points
3 and out drive – 1 point
Sack – 2 points
Defensive TD – 12 points
