September 16, 2015Nine candidates qualified to run for governor of Louisiana for election on October 24.
The following are the gubernatorial candidates:
Scott Angelle, R-Breaux Bridge;
Beryl Billiot, No Party-Kentwood; “Jay” Dardenne, R-Baton Rouge; Cary Deaton, D-Metairie; John Bel Edwards, D-Amite; Jeremy “JW” Odom, No Party-Natchitoches; Eric Paul Orgeron, Other-Metairie; SL Simpson, D-Shreveport; and David Vitter, R-Metairie.
Qualifying for Lieutenant Governor are: Elbert Lee Guillory, R-Opelousas; Melvin L. “Kip” Holden, D-Baton Rouge; “Billy” Nungesser, R-Belle Chasse; John Young, R – Metairie.

The Gubernatorial Primary is set for Oct. 24. Early voting will be held Oct. 10-17.
The General Election is set for Nov. 21. Early voting for will be held Nov. 7-14.
