A.D. “Danny” Martin Jr. 89, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 9:39 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2015.
Mr. Martin was a member of Mulberry Baptist Church. A longtime educational leader, he served 38 years as a teacher, coach, principal, supervisor and counselor. He was an education consultant for Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, La., the University of South Louisiana and the state Department of Education.
Mr. Martin is survived by his wife, Pauline “Polly”; sons, Dr. A.D. Ill (Amy) and David (Connie) Martin; daughter, Karen (Dr. Alan) Weems; and two grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mulberry Baptist Church at 2025 Bayou Black Drive, Houma LA, 70360.
Burial is at Terrebonne Memorial Park.
