Vet’s work ethic, community spirit will be missed

Adeline Gaubert Samanie, 88, a native of St. Charles Community and resident of Gray, La., died at 4:29 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2016.
Mrs. Samanie is survived by her sons, Carroll (Mercedes) and Larry (Alice) Samanie; daughters, Juanita (Timothy) Pennison, Katherine (Ivy Jr.) Deroche and Cindy (fiance Patrick Dupre) Samanie; sister-in-law, Lola Gaubert; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Burial is at St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery.
