Court bars Terrebonne from minority judge lawsuit

Alice Worden Chauvin, 88, was born of Houston, Texas, and a native of Houma, La., died at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, May 9, 2016.
A Terrebonne teacher for 28 years, Mrs. Chauvin taught at Grand Caillou, Little Caillou and Honduras elementary schools. She enjoyed playing bingo after retirement.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Bert Chauvin Sr.; son, John Chauvin; daughter, Angela Cicero; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Burial is at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 1.
