Woman accused of stealing from an area church
June 25, 2018Argey Joseph “A.J.” Cavalier, 79, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018, at 2:45 p.m. He was a native Little Grand Bayou LA and resident of Montegut. LA
A.J. is survived by his loving wife, Annabelle Pinell Cavalier; daughters, Cynthia Cavalier Brien and husband, Michael Brien, and Robin Cavalier Brown and husband, Lenny Brown; daughter-in-law, Lorraine Cavalier Marcel and husband, Stephen; brother, Lorry Cavalier; sisters, Bertie Cavalier Acosta, Shirley Cavalier Ougel, Marion Cavalier Matherne, and Elverta Cavalier Cook; grandchildren, Jeremy Paul Cavalier, Jennifer Cavalier Verdin, Michele Brien Troxler, Tyler Corbett Brown, and Seth Adam Brown; and great-grandchildren, Gage Cavalier, Caleb Troxler, Adelynn Troxler, Ricki Lynn Verdin, Noah Cavalier.
A.J. was a hard working family man who loved to spend time woodworking and fishing; most especially with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He dedicated 40 years of service with the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office; retires with the rank of Captain. He also served Montegut, Ward 6 as a Constable for six years. A. J. served as a professional firefighter in Houma, at the North Houma Fire Station retiring with the rank of Captain after 23 years of service. A.J. was dedicated to the surrounding community as a Volunteer Firefighter for the Montegut Fire Department; working his way to the rank of Fire Chief.
He was loved by his family and many friends. His character, wit, and love will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
