Nicholls education student aces national contest

Barbara Ann Simmons-Lewis, 68, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 2:26 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2017.
Mrs. Lewis is survived by her husband, Henry Lewis; son, Cordell Lewis; daughters, Sonia and LaQuancia Lewis; brothers, Williams Sr. (Claudia), Alvin (Linda) and Charles (Lois) Simmons Sr.; sister, Aldine Navy; and two grandchildren.
Burial is at Mechanicville Emmanuel Baptist Cemetery in Houma.
