2: After Friday night’s thrilling, one-point game between South Lafourche and Vandebilt, there are now just two teams undefeated in District 7-4A. That would be the Tarpons and Assumption. South Lafourche beat Vandebilt 32-31. The Mustangs easily trumped South Terrebonne.
343: The Covenant Christian Academy football team rushed for 343 yards on Friday night against Varnado, earning a huge victory in district play. The Lions spread the football out in its offense, using five players to get yards.
8: With senior quarterback Ben Sposito on the shelf with an injury, the E.D. White passing offense stumbled to a halt against Patterson. The Cardinals passed for just eight yards in Friday’s blowout loss, turning over the ball four times in the game.
