Lafourche Central Market
Located at 4484 Highway 1, Raceland, this market is open from 8 a.m. until noon on Saturdays and features an open-air pavilion where farmers, fishermen and artisans come together to sell local products.
Thursday, Jan. 29 Sew So Quilters
This quilting group meets from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Terrebonne Parish Library’s Dularge Branch, 837 Bayou Dularge Road, Houma. Participants are encouraged to bring quilting/sewing materials and a covered dish.
Saturday, Jan. 31 Krewe of Ambrosia Mambo
Held from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the Warren J. Harang Municipal Auditorium, 310 N. Canal Blvd., Thibodaux, this event features music by Drunk Punch Ponies. Tickets are $25 at the door. For more information, call 985-446-7260.
