FISHING BILL SHOT DOWN
May 4, 2018Carl “Buddy” Joseph Bellelo, age 83, a native of Maringouin, La. and resident of Houma, died on Monday, April 16, 2018, at 9:15 a.m.
Buddy is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Margaret Alice David Bellelo; daughters, Leticia and husband, Chris Hartman, Deirdre and husband, Jim Burroughs, Nathalie and husband, John Page and Eliska and husband, Jamey Crow; grandchildren, Aaron and Hunter Blades, Mason, Coburn and Morgan Burroughs, Brennan, Christian and Corinne Page, and Madison and Savannah Guarino; step-grandchildren, Haleigh and Colby Crow, Windy, and Jamie and Krystal Hartman; six step-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Bellelo Boudreaux and husband, David; and brother, Vincent Bellelo
Buddy was a U.S. Army veteran medic serving as a pharmacist in Korea and was a millwright. Buddy was a member of the American Legion, president of Feliciana Federal Credit Union, president of Catholic of Pointe Coupee High School, K.C. Council 1998 and Kawanis International, and lector and commentator at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Roads, La. He was also very artistic in hand-carving wood, metal and copper. He was a family man and will sadly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Buddy was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Parish.
