Chad Michael Labat, 34, a native and resident of Houma, Louisiana, died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015.
Mr. Labat was a Nicholls State University graduate. He studied art and graphic design. A kind-hearted man, loving father, beloved son and caring brother, he had a zest for life and a love for people.
He is survived by his parents, David and Becky Labat; brother, Jason Labat; sons, Cody Smith and Nicholas Hernandez; daughter, Isabelle Eschete; and grandmother, Hazel Hale.
Burial was private.
