Daniel P. “Squirrel” Melancon Sr., 72, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died on Wednesday, October 19, 2016.
Mr. Melancon is survived by his wife, Sherry Melancon; son, Daniel (Laura) Melancon Jr.; daughter, Danielle (Roger) Decker; brother, Curtis Melancon; sisters, Jackie Stassi, Juanita Matherne and Roxanne Hernandez; and three grandchildren.
Burial is at St. Mary Catholic Church Cemetery in Raceland.
