January 5, 2018Delvin “Papoose” Lirette Sr., 88, a native and resident of Chauvin, died on December 18, 2017.
Mr. Lirette is survived by his sons, Delvin “DJ” Lirette Jr. (Joanna), and Richard “Ricky” Lirette; daughters, Eleanor Lirette and Ida Faciane; sister in law, Rose Lirette; grandchildren, Desaire Lirette (Anitra), Brian Lirette (Kathy), Sherry Harshman (Neil), Myles LeCompte (Brandy), Jesse Authement, Kelly Authement, Charity Boudreaux (Jacob), Dustin Faciane; great grandchildren, Brandon (Madelyn), Kayleigh, Logan, Zachary, Shaye, Owen, Coby, Jada, Ian, Avery, Kaylee, Drake, Destiny, Dailyn, Makayla, Jaxon, Devin, and Evan; great great granchild, Dawson.
He was a life long shrimper and loved fishing and crabbing. He touched the lives of so many people and will be missed deeply by family, friends, and his beloved dogs, Mama and T-Black.
