Diane Marie Jones Baker, 69, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 7 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016.

Mrs. Baker was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. She retired from First National Bank of Houma after 25 years. She was employed part time at C & L. She was involved with the Vietnam Veteran Association and the Louisiana Vietnam War Dog Memorial, which she solely established. She also had a deep love of animals and was involved in numerous community activities.

She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Baker (Shane) Prosperie; brothers, Richard Jr. (JoAnn) and Chris (Linda) Jones; sisters, Jean J. (Jerry) Roth, Faye J. Roth, Christina “Tina” Jones, Cindy J. (Ray) Smith, and Charlotte Ann Jones; and two grandchildren.

Burial is at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
