Grand Isle woman ends drought at Tarpon Rodeo

Dianna Cochennic Cheramie, 76, a native of Larose, La., and resident of Galliano, La., died on Wednesday, July 6, 2016.
Mrs. Cheramie was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a Eucharistic minister and past member of the Lady’s Altar Society. She was a founding member of the Catholic Community Center and also worked with her husband on the family boat.
She is survived by her sons, Kirk, Peter (Beth), Gabriel and Michael (Tarina) Cheramie; daughters, Susan (Glen) Terrebonne, Connie (Jeffery) Daigle, Teresa (Jefferson) Crosby and Annette (Richard) Weaver; sister, Elaine (William) Simon; brother, Joffery (Doris) Cochennic Jr.; 27 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Burial is at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery in Thibodaux.
