Elaine Burke

Elaine Marie “Bunny” Fonseca Burke, 70, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 9:10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 15, 2016.

Mrs. Burke was a retired nurse, a hard worker and always available to lend a helping hand. She loved spending time at her camp, fishing, a good cup of coffee, reading and working in her flower garden.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Gene Burke; brother, James “Yimmy” Fonseca; sister, Nettie (Clifton “Pete) Chisholm; two grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Dudlene (Sullivan) Dehart; and one great-granchild.

Burial is at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
