June 17, 2015Emile Boudreaux Sr., 90, a native and resident of Chauvin, La., died Thursday, June 11, 2015.
Mr. Boudreaux was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He served with the (Bushmaster) 158th Inf. Combat Team in the Phillipines during WW II in the 42nd General Hospital in Japan. He earned the Combat Infantryman Badge, APT campaign ribbon with Bronze Star, Phillipine Liberation Campaign Ribbon with Bronze Star, Victory Ribbon, Japan Victory Ribbon and good conduct Medal. He also received the Louisiana Honor Medal from Gov. Jindal.
Mr. Boudreaux retired from Texaco after 33 years. He loved to play the accordion.
He is survived by his sons, Joseph Emile Boudreaux Jr. and Nathan (Trisha) Boudreaux; daughters, Emilie (Timmy) Blanchard, Josephine (Mark) Rodrigue, and Natalie (Cary) Robichaux; brother, Hubert Boudreaux Jr.; sisters, Irma Duplantis and Ramona Breaux; 24 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
