Former captain pleads guilty to charges

Ernest James Savoie Sr., 83, a native and resident of Larose, La., died on Tuesday, August 23, 2016.
Mr. Savoie is survived by his wife of 62 years, Deloris “Tiny” F. Savoie; sons, Ernest Jr. (Catherine) and Dean (Shelly) Savoie; brother, Larry Savoie Sr.; sister, Annie Cheramie; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Burial is at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery in Larose.
