Grand Caillou native takes fisheries post

George E. Iver Jr., 76, a native and resident of St. Charles Community, La., died on Wednesday, June 8, 2016.
Mr. Iver is survived by his wife of 56 years, Diane Gaudet Iver; sons, Lane, James “Jim” (Charisse) and Jody Iver (Robyn); daughters, Cherie Iver, Cindy Iver Dantin (Chris), Kim Iver; brother, Wayne “Goat” Iver; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. (Samart-Mothe)
