Gloria Verret

Gloria Gary Verret, 89, a native and resident of Houma, La., died on Tuesday, May 3, 2016.

Mrs. Verret was a member of Beautiful Zion Baptist Church and the Retired Teachers Association. A retired Terrebonne schoolteacher, she held a master’s degree in education and doctorate in cosmetology. She owned G.G.’s Beauty Box.

She is survived by sons, Reginal and Darrel Verret; daughters, Gloria Verret, Shemade Verret and Audrey Aldridge; sister, Rose Melancon; 15 grandchildren; and 23 great-grand-children.

Interment is at Deweyville Cemetery. (Community)
