Lafourche projects likely on hold with mineral royalties down 35%
September 29, 2015Gus Joseph Faigout Sr., 94, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015.
Mr. Falgout was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member and past commander of the Freddy John Falgout VFW Post 3665, a member of the American Legion Post and an usher for St. Mary Nativity Church. After his military service, he returned to Raceland and began a lifelong career as a master carpenter.
Mr. Falgout is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bernice Matherne Falgout; children Anne (Neil) Jordan, Patsy (Ricky) Whitehorn, Gus (Evelyn) Falgout Jr., Janet (Michael) Gros and Ruth (Stan) Breaux; seven grandchildren; and sister, Rita Falgout Babin.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary’s Nativity Church.
Burial is at St. Mary’s Nativity Church Cemetery.
