Horace J. Matherne Sr., 88, a resident of Larose, La., died on Monday, March 6, 2017.
Mr. Matherne loved spending time with family and taking care of his animals.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ruth M. Matherne; children, Linda Toups, Patricia (P.J.) Loupe, Donald (Florence) and Horace Matherne Jr. and Loria (Jacob) Folse; brother, Gary Matherne; sisters, Mary Delaune and Beulah Boudreaux; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Burial is at Holy Savior Cemetery in Lockport.
