Janet Mary Lapeyrouse Tabor, 72, a native and resident of Houma, La., died on Friday, July 21, 2017.

Mrs. Tabor was a gifted cook and baker who could make a feast for a king from basic staples. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, James E. Tabor Jr.; daughters, Lisa Tabor, Nancy (Gordon) Faucheaux and Laura (Jonathan) Martin; siblings, Bubba Lapeyrouse and Patsy Savoie; and seven grandchildren.

Burial is at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2 in Houma.
