Joseph D. Dupre, age 93, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, at 12:22 p.m. at The Oaks Nursing Home. He was a native of Pointe-Aux-Chenes and a resident of Pointe-Aux-Chenes.
Joseph is survived by sons, Lonnie P. (Christiana “Chris”) Dupre, and Rodney P. (Patty) Dupre; daughters, Peggy D. (Curtis) Dupre, Nancy D. (Rosario “Russ”) Guzzo and Paula D. (Daniel) Hutcherson; brothers, Alton, Norbert, Kirby, Linwood and Carol Dupre, sisters, Aldia D. Naquin, Emily Savoie, Judy Lapeyrouse and Anna Trosclair; 14 grandchildren; 31 Great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren
.Joseph was a loving husband and grandfather. He was a fisherman who enjoyed gardening and trawling. He once owned a grocery store in Pointe-Aux-Chenes, La. and loved cooking and spending time with family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
