Melva Cressionie

Melva D. Cressionie, 97, a native and resident of Gheens, La., died on Thursday, August 18, 2016.

Mrs. Cressionie was a member of LVFC Club Gheens Chapter, Bible school teacher, elder and session clerk at Gheens Presbyterian Church and a board member of the Vacherie-Gheens Community Center.

She is survived by her children, Janet (Lynn) Breaux, Kendrick (Maxine) Cressionie and Joan (Harris) Griffin; brother, Woodrow Dufrene; daughter-in-law, Sharon Cressionie; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Burial is at Gheens Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Gheens.
