Melvin Abadie

Melvin Louis Abadie, 90, a native of Edgard, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 5:59 a.m. on Monday, April 25, 2016.

Mr. Abadie was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church, and a WWII Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Betty Carlos Abadie; sons, Brian (Char) and Thomas Abadie; daughters, Wanda (Curt) Thibodeaux, Kim (Kenneth) Marcel, Melanie (Sterling) Boudreaux and Amy (Ronnie) Kraemer; sister, Clara Baudoin; nine grandchildren; two stepgrandsons; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Burial is at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. (Chauvin)
