Michel Verdin

Michel A. “Mitch” Verdin, Sr., 65, a native of Fala, La., and resident of Larose, La., died on Monday, February 13, 2017.

Mr. Verdin was a commercial fisherman. He enjoyed music, carving ducks, cooking and spending time with loved ones.

He is survived by his wife, Nora Dardar Verdin; children, Ann (Stephen) Gros, Karen, Michel (Amy) Jr. and Debbie Verdin; step-children, Darlene (Stanley) Payne, Cheryl Webber, Dona (Tim) Brown, Joseph and Dwayne Soley; brothers, Laurent, Widless and Adam Verdin; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Burial is at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.
