The Krewe of Aquarius hosts an annual Easter Eggstravaganza on the court house lawn to give back to the children of our community.
They also make annual donations to nonprofit groups in our parish. Each year, two groups are selected that trying to make a difference in our community. This year, Aquarius has 14 charter members that will celebrate and reminisce about the last 25 years. They have been able to see the Krewe grow from 150 members to its current 680 members.

First parading in 1986, the Krewe of Ambrosia is well-known as “the krewe that throws the most.” Their king and queen are selected in a unique process: all members present at that particular meeting complete a ballot stating they wish to be royalty. A ballot is then selected at random. If the ballot selected is a man, he chooses who he wishes to be queen. In reverse, a woman would select her king. This allows for couples to reign together. During this year’s parade, attendees are sure to catch Krewe of Ambrosia logo beads, footballs, Frisbees, mugs, coloring books, swords, stuffed animals and more.
