Paul “Clyde” Lirette, 89, a native and resident of Chauvin, died on Thursday, January 11, 2018.
Mr. Lirette is survived by his sons, Kurt A. Lirette and wife, Sandra Eschete, Michael P. Lirette and wife, Nadine Picou, and David J. Lirette; daughter, Mona L. Pope and husband, Odis Jr.; brothers, Claude Lirette and wife, Merle, Linwood “Nacky” Lirette, Sr. and wife, Merle, and Anthony “Jr.” Lirette and wife, Theresa; sister, Fasie Dupre and husband, Terry; grandchildren, Trina Pope Fanguy and husband, Timothy, Thea Pope Picou and husband, Rusty, Christopher Lirette and wife, Linda, Paul Lirette and wife, Erin, Brett Lirette and wife, Annika, Layne Lirette and fiance, Sierra, Brad Lirette, and Sydney Lirette and Cullen; great-grandchildren, Jordan and Julian Fanguy, Timothy, Eli and Olivia Picou, Phoenix, Penelope and Bernadette Lirette.
He was retired from Chet Morrison Contractors. He was a member of the Ward 7 Citizens Club, and Council on Aging. He enjoyed dancing, fishing, and bike riding. He loved his dogs Ca Va’ and Meyon. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
