Kasey is a standout for the South Lafourche High School baseball team – one of the better players in District 7-4A. As a hitter, Kasey is a slugger with home run power. On the mound, he’s a polished pitcher with a sub-2 ERA this season.

STRENGTHS:

Kasey is skilled on the baseball field, and is very versatile. He can hit for both power and average, possessing the ability to drive the ball when he needs to, but also the ability to shorten his swing and hit for average.

2017 STATS (SO FAR):

Batting: 13-of-42 (.310 average), three doubles, one triple, 11 RBI, .412 on-base percentage, .840 slugging

Pitching: 3-1, 1.18 ERA in 23.2 innings, 13 hits, 6 runs allowed (4 earned), 5 walks, 24 strikeouts, .761 WHIP

HOBBIES:

When not hitting home runs or striking out batters, Kasey said he likes to lay low and relax with his buddies.

CREDENTIALS:

South Lafourche High School slugger Kasey Guidry is a tough out – both as a hitter and also as a pitcher. The junior Tarpon is one of the better varsity baseball players in the area, owning a .310 average at the plate and also an excellent 1.18 ERA on the mound. Kasey is currently battling a finger injury, but is expected to be back within the next week.
