Rafe is a multi-sport athlete at E.D. White, one of the best athletes in the entire school. He is a post player on the Cardinals basketball team – one of the most skilled interior players in the entire Houma-Thibodaux area. He’s also a power pitcher on the diamond for the Cardinals, one of better returning hurlers the team has this season.
STRENGTHS:
Blades is really effective and knows what he’s capable of doing on the floor. He’s an elite athlete, owning plus-level jumping skills, which allows him to play well above the rim during varsity basketball competition. On the mound, Blades has several pitches and always keeps his composure on the mound.
GOALS FOR THE SEASON:
“Go as far as we can in the playoffs and make sure that we give our absolute best effort in every game we play throughout the season.”

“Rafe always plays with a lot of intensity. You can tell that he really, genuinely cares and that he wants to succeed and he wants his teammates to succeed, as well. He’s a great senior leader.”

White boys’ basketball standout Rafe Blades is an awful lot of fun to watch. The powerful, 6-foot, 4-inch post player is one of the best interior players in the area – a young man who isn’t afraid to rise over the defense and attempt to dunk the basketball in traffic. On the baseball diamond, Rafe is a polished pitcher for the Cardinals. Off the playing fields, Rafe said he enjoys working out and hanging with friends.
