Toughest sporting adversity you’ve ever dealt with:
Having to watch my teammates run without me at the beginning of this past season. It was a really tough feeling knowing that there wasn’t too much that I could do to be there for them during the meets.
Top sporting achievement:
I injured myself before my junior season, but I did all of the hard work necessary to come back, so that I could win the State Cross Country Championships this past fall. I had finished as a runner-up at state before, but I had never won it. To be able to cross the finish line first was a thrill that I will never forget, and it’s something that I hope I am blessed to be able to do again to help my team next season.
Championship Time:
19-minutes, 4 seconds.
Favorite Food(s):
Peanut butter
Future plans:
I’ve received a little bit of interest from schools who are interested in having me run for them. If the right opportunity presents itself, I’d love to consider continuing my career at the college level. That would be a blessing for me.

Vandebilt Catholic standout runner Alexa Breaux is a big-time difference maker on the track for the Terriers. A top-flight performer since her earliest days at the school, Breaux was able to see her hard work pay off this past fall when she won the Cross Country State Championship, logging a time of 19-minutes, 4 seconds to easily outpace the field and secure the win. Away from the track, Breaux is a solid student and an everyday teenager, touting that she enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
