Rita Loupe Matherne, 88, a native and resident of Des Allemands, La., died Friday, Jan. 22, 2016.
Mrs. Matherne was a true description of a mother who loved her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Faron (Wilma); sister, Lena Seller; one grandchild, Nathan Megan Chestnut) Matherne, and two great-grandchildren. Burial is at St. Gertrude Cemetery.
