Ronald John “Black” Guidry Sr., 76, a native of Morgan City, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2017.
Mr. Guidry was the proprietor of A Cajun Man’s Swamp Cruise, and he served his country as a Green Beret and Paratrooper in the United States Army. He was a lover of music and the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Sondra Barton Guidry; former wife, Brenda Olivier; son, Ronald (Peggy) Guidry Jr.; daughters, Tammi (Donald) Price, Renee (Scott) East and Kristal Guidry; step-sons, Douglas (Cindy) and Christopher Tracy; brothers, Ulysse, Donald, Ralph and Gary Guidry; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Burial is at Bayou Black Cemetery in Bayou Black. (Chauvin)
