Ruth Cross

Ruth M. Cross, 98, a native of Gibson and resident of Morgan City, La., died at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23, 2015.

One of the oldest and most faithful members of the Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, Mrs. Cross’s favorite saying was, “My God is a rolling stone, He’ll roll away your troubles and ease your worried mind.”

Mrs. Cross is survived by her stepdaughter, Beatrice Cross; sister, Jeanette Daniels; and more than six generations of grandchildren.

Burial is at the Morgan City Cemetery.
