Stanley “S.E.” Bergeron Jr., 93, lifelong resident ofHouma, Louisiana, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015.

Mr. Bergeron was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. He served in the USMC from 1940-45, obtaining rank of sergeant. He was a member of the Famous 180-Mile Hike. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1985.

He is survived by his daughter, Carol (Richard) Eagle; sons, Kenneth (Ruth), Dale and David Bergeron; five grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and sister, Shirley Barbieri.

Interment is at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 1.
