Jail inmate accused of rape dies after hanging

Sterling J. Dupont, 79, a native and resident of Luling, La., died on Saturday, July 2, 2016.
Mr. Dupont is survived by his wife, Nancy A. Dupont; sons, Timothy and Paul Dupont; brother, Roy Dupont; and grandchild, Jay Christopher Dupont.
Burial is at Terrebonne Memorial Park Masuoleum in Houma.
