1. THIBODAUX: The Tigers proved me wrong on Friday night. I admittedly thought St. Aug was going to end the Tigers winning streak. I was wrong. Thibodaux dominated the game from start-to-finish, using stingy defense to control the entire second half.

2. SOUTH LAFOURCHE: The Tarpons are peaking at the right time of the season. With three-straight wins under their belts and a district championship game slated for Friday night, it’s time that we recognize the Tarpons as a legitimate threat in Class 4A.

3. E.D. WHITE: The Cardinals leap frog back into the Top 5 after a one-week hiatus. The Cardinals battered and bruised North Vermilion on Friday night to secure an easy win – the team’s fifth of the season.

4. CENTRAL LAFOURCHE: Things are about to get very real for the Central Lafourche football team. The Trojans have completely squandered their fast start and are now back to just .500 on the season. The Trojans absolutely have to beat Terrebonne on Friday night.

5. CCA: The Lions are looking pretty good right now – especially considering how slow the team started the season. If CCA can beat Houma Christian, the team’s No. 1 goal will be complete – the Lions will have successfully won the district championship.
