Vanessa Usey

Vanessa Ann Usey, 61, a native of Jefferson Parish, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died at 8:46 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2017.

Ms. Usey volunteered at the hospital and worked as a welder and an 18 wheeler driver. She was also a seamstress, pool shark and loved working in her flowers.

She is survived by her daughters, Krystal (Ken-drick) Blackburn and Angel (Ken) Harrelson; son, Timothy Matherne; parents, Daniel and Beverly Usey; brothers, Byran (Barbara), Dale (Trudy), Shane (Carrie) and Troy (Tracy) Usey; sister, Melanie (Max) Hal-iburton; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Burial is at a later date.
