Local faces at nation’s capital for historic Supreme Court moment (AUDIO INSIDE)

Vilma Gernon, a native of Recife, Pe, Brazil, and resident of Houma, La., died at 3 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015.
Mrs. Gernon enjoyed flowers, cooking and spending time with family.
She is survived by her husband, George Owen Gernon; son, Marco (Jeanne’) Gernon; daughter, Adrianna (Guido) Eschete; and three grandchildren.
Donations to the American Cancer Society in her memory are appreciated.
Burial is at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church Cemetery.
